David and Arcelia Hernandez, are staff members of the “Adventures in Missions” Bible School located near Progresso, Mexico. They took 25 students on a week long field trip to Tula, Hidalgo, located in Southern Mexico. A very generous supporter donated 25 new sleeping bags and 5 new dome tents that will sleep 25 persons. This allowed them to save enough money to stay a full week.
The purpose of this trip was for the students to minister and witness to non-Christian youth, and to confirm the individual call that the Lord has placed on each of their lives. They had an opportunity to march in the City streets and to share the gospel with many youth and adults. They ended their stay with a Youth Rally having an attendance of over 500 youth.
The schools curriculum covers two years. The first year is a full 12 months of intense classroom studies with weekend mission trips. The second year is an intern year either with the student’s home church, or an approved missionary organization. They are starting the new school year with 33 students on campus.
At present, we are helping three of the students with their incidental expenses. The schooling, room, and board is very cheap, but many of the students are from such poor families that they have no funds for their personal items needed. We are presently helping two of the unmarried students with $25.00 per month. The other is married with children and we are helping him in the amount of $50.00 per month. If you would like to support a student, we are always eager to assist with the arrangements.
